Love Hate Relationship with Psychic Parrot
THIS PARROT IS DEAD
 I used to look after a friend who was very ill. In the months before he died, he would ask me if I could see the people stood in the room. He’d been a professional huntsman in life and would sometimes see his friends from the hunt and the dogs that he loved so much. He would often talk to the spirit of his favourite dog- a little white Jack Russell. Sometimes his ‘hallucinations’ were so convincing that I was sure there really were people and dogs standing in the room. His attitude was casual as if he had just bumped into them while out shopping.
In real life, he owned an African Grey parrot with which he had a love/hate relationship. They were like a married couple who argued all the time. When my friend died the parrot dropped dead only a few days later. My son suggested that the bird be buried with our friend but I said no. His ‘hallucinations’ had convinced me that the souls of animals continue after death. Considering the way they used to argue, they would never give each other any peace in the next life particularly if they were buried together!

I’m convinced that animals continue with us after death. However being buried together makes no difference and your friend is probably still being ‘hen-pecked’ in the next life. Elsewhere in your letter, you tell us that the parrot was young and healthy.
Clearly, he pinned for his soul mate.
